About Perfect Heart:
One of the legendary groups in Gospel music, Perfect Heart burst into the scene in 1990. The group quickly caught attention as Danny Funderburk left the Cathedral Quartet to be one of the founding members. Joining Danny were Mike Pressnel, Dale Shipley, Jeff Stice and Mark Lanier. Nicknamed the "Million Dollar Quartet" for their incredible lineup, Perfect Heart made music history as their first song release "Somebody Touched The Lord" became the first debut song to reach number one on the radio charts as well as song of the year. Their sucess continued as they would go on to win Horizon Group Of The Year in their first year. Over the years, Perfect Heart has continued to add countless awards and hit songs as they have solidified themselves as one of Gospel musics most beloved groups. Founding member Mike Pressnel said, "Perfect Heart has been such a big part of my life. I was with Perfect Heart from the very beginning and it means a great deal to be singing with Perfect Heart, a quartet that truly loves the Lord with a heart's desire to serve Him. I believe that God has placed Tommy, Jimmy, Buddy and myself together for that purpose."
With a tradition so rich, many groups would rest on their past success but Perfect Heart continues to raise the bar with their music. Wesley Anders- Tenor
Wesley is no stranger to the southern gospel music world. He is one of the best tenors in the industry today and amazes audience with his vocal range everywhere he goes. He has a very nice smooth tone with a professional quality second to none. You may have seen Wesley in the past as a member of the Down East Boys singing tenor. Wesley also had the prestigious honor to sing for President Bill Clinton in his college days. Wesley is a very solid person in his walk with Christ and has a great personality on and off stage. Wesley lives in Brevard, North Carolina with his wife Crystal, and his two sons Will and Brice.
Jimmy Dunn - Lead
Adding his dynamic voice to Perfect Heart is Jimmy Dunn. Singing since the age of four, Jimmy joined his first group, Greater Heights, at the age of twenty. After over a decade in Gospel music, Jimmy continues to gain fans and build a reputation for his focus on ministry. Not only is Jimmy an acclaimed singer but he is a talented songwriter as well. Jimmy as written numerous songs and has has several songs recorded by some of the most talented artists in Gospel music. “I‘m so excited about what God has in store for Perfect Heart. I love to smile and sing because God has put a song of joy in my heart and the willingness to share it with others!” Jimmy makes his home in Johnson City, Tennessee with his wife Lori.
Tommy Smith - Baritone
Tommy has traveled and ministered with many groups throughout the years. Tommy has appeared on Gospel's biggest stages singing as well as playing the bass guitar. Tommy has appeared with some of the best of the best in gospel music. The last quartet Tommy sang with was Cross 4 Crowns before Perfect Heart. Tommy has a heart for ministry and is excited about the talent and annointing that God has assembled in this quartet. Tommy not only brings his vocal talents to the group but he also adds his uniques style of humor to each event. Tommy lives in Gray, Tennessee with his wife Senora and their daughter Candace.
Mike Pressnel - Bass
Perfect Heart is honored to have a legend in Gospel music singing bass for them. Mike has been a fan favorite for many years. Mike has been nominated as bass singer of the year eight times. Mike was a member of the Sound before joining Perfect Heart in 1990. Fans have come to love Mike not only for his beautiful bass voice but also for his down home country humor. Laughter is always a part of a Perfect Heart concert as Mike tells of his unique life expericences growing up as one of sixteen children. Mike makes his home in Johnson City, Tennessee with his wife Barbara and their children Alisha and Johnathan.
