Perfect Heart

From the Gospel Greats web-site: Back in the 1990s, Perfect Heart was one of the most popular quartets out there. Although the group left the road several years ago, now they're back! We'll visit with several of the group's current members and hear some of their songs. (Today's group includes tenor Matt Felts, lead Jimmy Dunn, baritone Tommy Smith and bass — and original member — Mike Presnell.)

Perfect Heart, is delighted to announce that Matt Felts has joined the group as their new tenor. “Matt has proven himself to be a premier talent in Southern Gospel but more importantly his deep desire to see God’s kingdom grow line up perfectly with our group’s main goal. Matt is a wonderful addition to our family and we look forward to all that he brings to us. Matt is well known to the fans of Southern Gospel, singing for groups such as Monument Quartet and the Skyline Boys. As a member of Monument, Matt gained fans both in the Gospel and country music world through their numerous live and television appearances. “It is an incredible honor to join a legendary group like Perfect Heart. They were the very first live concert I ever attended and I’ve always been a fan of Mike’s. Though they have a rich tradition, I am more excited about all that God has in store for us. There are so many great things coming and I can’t wait to see the fans of this group as I hit the road with them.” said matt Felts. Matt has already began touring with Perfect Heart. Perfect Heart currently can be heard on the radio with their chart hit “Glory Waves”. Fans can see this incredible new lineup at the Showcase Spectacular on Monday at the National Quartet.

After finishing "The Best of Perfect Heart", there were a few songs that were requested that the original group had never released.  We, along with radio promoters and producers, narrowed the pick down to a couple of songs.  It seemed that we were on track to release an upbeat quartet song with a catchy tune.  The more we listened to the message in the songs and after much prayer everyone was in agreement to release the other song choice which was "Glory Waves".  This is a very powerful song with a great arrangement.  We pray the song "Glory Waves" will bless and encourage every person that hears it. We are living in a time that Christians are battling a spiritual warfare that we fight each and every day.  As Christians and Americans we have faced changes, struggles, and evil in the last few years that have cost many their jobs, their homes, and have even separated Christian families throughout our nation. We, as Christians, need the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and our brothers and sisters in Christ more than ever. The song says it all; one day our final war here on earth will be over, it will be time to leave our battlefield behind, and as Christians we will victoriously be welcomed as Glory Waves us home to Him.  We hope everyone enjoys this song and it will be uplifting to everyone that hears it. We also pray that this song may impact someone who does not know Jesus as their personal Savior and will encourage them to accept Him as Lord of their life.  On a final note the song "Glory Waves" was also the most requested song by our friends and fans.

Perfect Heart is excited to partner up exclusively with the Free Spirit Agency. It’s great to be working with someone that has the knowledge and experience that Terry Dorsey and the Free Spirit Agency brings to the industry. With the history and knowledge that this team brings to southern gospel music, I feel that this is a perfect fit for what we see as a great future together.

This project is a compilation of Perfect Heart’s hits and fan favorites.  We had our friends and fans to contact us with their favorite “Perfect Heart” song and these were the songs that were most requested.  These are some great songs from the past on this project with some of the greatest writers of all times.  We are so excited about what God has in store for our quartet.  We hope that that this CD will bless, encourage, and/or plant a seed in someone’s life that does not know Jesus as their Savior.  God Bless You All, Perfect Heart.

Perfect Heart had a great time at the NQC 2009 this year. It was great to be back, and to see all Perfect Hearts old and new  fans. Our radio interview with Paul Heil was a blast. Paul Heil has the radio program "The Gospel Greats" and is one of the best in the business.  Perfect Heart had the honor to be invited back for final encore on Saturday with Guy Penord and a select few other groups. Be sure to make plans for the 2010 National Quartet Convention, we hope to see you there.

Special thanks to all of our friends and fans for the support they have shown in welcoming back “Perfect Heart” to the industry.  We would like to thank our family for their prayers and support during our travels as we minister God’s word in song. It is also a great honor for this group to have the original member, legendary bass singer Mike Pressnel, to be a part of the resurrection of such a deserving name and quartet “Perfect Heart”.  We would also like to thank all the churches and everyone that has opened their doors to allow “Perfect Heart” to be a part of their ministry.  Most of all we would like to thank God for His gift He has given to us, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, for guiding us each and everyday in what we do, and being the leader of our quartet.
